What is PTC Heating Element?
PTC Heating Elements are composed mainly of tiny ceramic stones
that have an ohm's resistance with Positive Temperature Coefficient
(PTC) characteristic. With this unique characteristic, the
PTC element is capable of providing self-control function
to regulate room temperature without any thermal protector
requirement. Also, its operational temperature is always below
the ignition temperature and means that any fire hazard caused
can be avoided. The main reason is that the resistance in
PTC element will response automatically to adjust the current
flow and power consumption accordingly whenever the temperature
of PTC element changing. In other words, PTC heating element
obviously provides safe, energy saving and cost-effective
advantage for small household and industrial products.
PTC element is made of tiny ceramic stones so that PTC heater
in the market sometimes is also known as Ceramic Heater. To
take advantage of this heating elements, PTC heater (Ceramic
heater) indeed offers desired warmth, compact and portable
features to consumers. Although its appearance is quite similar
to Fan heaters, which use heating coils to release heat, PTC
heater actually has solved the problem of stuffy feeling and
high energy consumption with Fan heaters.
